Your gift will provide a lifeline to someone with leprosy and poverty related injuries and illnesses. Many people affected by leprosy live in remote, poverty-stricken areas of developing countries. Any kind of medical treatment can be very hard to access, and so a day in hospital will provide the rest and care desperately needed to heal and recover.

Recovery for Pinky

15-year-old Pinky Tiwari, from Varanasi in India, was devastated when she lost the use of her hand. She had been cured of leprosy two years earlier, but the damage had already been done. Pinky traveled many miles to a Leprosy Mission hospital. She underwent reconstructive surgery and physiotherapy. Her hand is now back to normal, and she's doing well at school.
