SHORT-TERM PLACEMENTS

There is the additional option of going on an overseas short-term programme with the Leprosy Mission. This takes the form of Medical Electives, usually medical students in the 4^th-5^th years of a university qualification. They typically work for periods between 6-8 weeks.

Additionally, there is the option for volunteers. Some will have a healthcare background but have less than two years post qualification experience.  Volunteer placements are for a maximum of 6 months.
