Can You Give Up Chocolate to Help Someone Affected by Leprosy?
• 25 March 2010
This Easter, why not buy one less chocolate egg, and give a Really Good Gift to leprosy-affected people and their families instead?
We have an exciting range of Easter Gifts to choose from, including the Injera-Bread Baking Kit which has been launched just in time for the long weekend! Or, you may be interested in purchasing some of our popular faithfuls, such as the Seed-Hamper or the Poultry Business Start-Up Kit.
All three of these gifts will enable leprosy-affected people and their families to lift themselves out of the devastating cycle of poverty - and all YOU have to do is give up chocolate!
The Injera-Bread Baking Kit
The Leprosy Mission New Zealand is supporting an exciting Grain Mills project in Gondar, Ethiopia that enables leprosy-affected women to support themselves by milling grains used to make injera, a type of bread eaten at every meal. The Injera-Bread Baking Kit provides leprosy-affected women with the ingredients and equipment they need to bake the bread, and includes grains from the mills, as well as baking trays, mixing dishes and ladles. The bread can then be sold in the local community for a small profit, helping the women support their families.
Why not choose to give an original and meaningful gift to your family and friends this Easter?

Really Good Gifts are good to give, good to receive and really good for people affected by leprosy.
