WHO IS THE LEPROSY MISSION?

The Leprosy Mission is a Christian development organisation whose main goal is to eradicate the causes and consequences of leprosy. Based in 53 countries worldwide, it also seeks to address the loss of dignity that many people affected by leprosy, and their families, often experience.

There are many hundreds of thousands of disabled and marginalised people around the world because of leprosy. Usually they are seen as the lowest of the low and are so downtrodden they don’t have the confidence, energy or resources to speak out against this injustice. The Leprosy Mission is an advocate for such people, empowering them to have a voice.
