FUNDING As a charitable organisation, The Leprosy Mission New Zealand raises money for overseas programmes through donations from individuals who support our work. However, The Leprosy Mission qualifies for VASS funding provided by NZAID, the Aid & Development branch of the New Zealand government.
What is VASS Funding, and how does it work?
VASS (Voluntary Agency Support Scheme) Funding is a Matching-Funds arrangement, whereby for every dollar raised for a certain programme, NZAID will provide $4 more. So, if an individual donates $25 to a VASS-funded programme, their donation effectively becomes $100! Likewise, if someone donates $250, their donation becomes $1,000! VASS Funding helps your donation go further.
